I try to never leave the house without an umbrella, but let me tell you the days that I do, it rains. Living in London, I am very used dealing with the year-round non-stop rain. But every now and again, you're sitting there on you're first day off in a week, looking for something exciting to do and all you're met with is a sheet of rain. Not very inspiring. So, I've come up with 10 things to do in London when it rains.
1. Trip to the O2 Centre

Recently, I have been loving the O2 Centre in Greenwich. They've really upped their restaurant game with my personal favourites of Busaba Eathai and Five Guys (the best burger you will ever have, trust me) but there is also a huge Cineworld there and Brooklyn Bowl if you fancied a quick game of bowling aswell.
2. Spitalfields Market
Horner Square, E1
Another favourite of mine. You never know what you're going to find when you head down to Spitalfields. There's food & drink, independent market stalls (where you can find amazing fashion finds) and shops. They always have new and exciting events on as well, last time we took a trip to Spitalfields it was London Cocktail Weekend and hundred of stalls and music selling cocktails. 3. Westfield Shopping Centre
Ariel Way, W12
Westfields is pretty self explanatory. Hundreds of shops, so many restaurants and a cinema. Whether you're window shopping or going on a full blown shopping spree Westfields has so much to offer for a rainy day.
4. Odeon BFI IMAX Cinema

I think everyone needs to experience an IMAX cinema, and what's a better day to do it when it's cold and miserable outside? 3D films are everywhere, but watching it on the big screens at the IMAX is like being in the middle of the film.

5. Queens Ice & Bowl

I used to go to Queens Ice & Bowl all the time when I was younger - so what's stopping us now? With an indoor ice rink, bowling lanes, private karaoke rooms and casual dining - it can make a great afternoon.

7. Natural History & Science Museum

I'm the first to admit that I am not a big fan of museums at all. But the History & Science museums in London are actually interesting and interactive for all ages and sizes.

8. West End Matinees
Another idea that can never get old. There are always hundreds of shows on in London and numerous booths dotted around central London that offer last minute, inexpensive tickets to West End shows for the same day. Need inspiration? Brave a walk in the rain down Shaftesbury Avenue to see the wide choice available.

With over 500 games, there's plenty to keep you entertained in Draughts while it's raining cats and dogs outside. Along with snacks and drinks Draughts offers a unique, old school afternoon.
