BOOTS HAUL

03:28

You know those days where you wonder into Boots, just to pick up a couple of things you desperately need, you stroll around picking up this for £3, that for £2.50, you get to the counter and your total is like £50? Yeah, I had one of those days. I find it so easy to spend half my pay check in Boots, because beauty is SO classed as an essential in my books! Keep reading to find out my not so essential products I picked up in Boots.

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Puker Matte Lip 3D Lip Colour & Sculpt £3.50
This is actually the main reasons I choose to go to Boots that fateful day (I'm a Superdrug girl, through and through) I'd heard magical things about Soap & Glory's new Matt Lip colour and was desperate to try it out. The real shocker I found though was the price - this is such a bargain at £3.50! I've become to used to make-up companies ripping us off and paying £18 for a lipstick that I found this amazing value! I haven't tried these out properly yet apart from trying them on quickly on my lips. These are gorgeous colours (I choose Choccoberry & Pretty Muted). I especially love Choccoberry [side note - how fab are Soap & Glory's names?!]. I noticed that although these are matte colours, they are so very creamy to apply & I love forward to giving them a proper play!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara £7.99
Every beauty guru & their mums have featured this mascara at one point in the past couple of months. I decided to jump on the hype and try it out. I've used this mascara for the past 2 days and I have to say, I'm not overwhelmed. I'm actually underwhelmed. I like a mascara that makes my lashes look longer - and although this mascara is very black it does make my lashes look stubby (god, I'm picky). I'm going to keep using it and see if I have a defining moment of love, but for now it's not great. (sorry beauty bloggers everywhere).

Boots Perfect Finish Artificial Nail Remover £3.00
Please don't think of me as a moaner (I'm only being honest!) but this stuff is beyond crap! I had a gel manicure to remove and usually use the alien-hand-tin-foil technique but saw this pot while trying to pick up some acetone. You're meant to stick each nail to soften the polish then you can easily remove the rest. 2 hours later, there was no easy about it! This barely softened the nail varnish & I would not recommend using this.

Essie Retro Revival Collection 406 Birthday Suit £5.99
With an introductory offer of £5.99 (instead of £7.99) and my gel manicure coming off later that day I decided to pick up a new nude for my nails. Essie is my favourite brand for nail polishes & I can't resist a sparkly sale nude!

Elegant Touch Professional Slanted Tweezers £12.50
I needed new tweezers and these were the cheapest ones they had on offer. Not much more to say on that one.

So there's my Boots haul! Not that much looking back on it, but it did hurt my bank account! Hopefully this will keep my beauty buying obsession at bay, even for a little while.

Have you tried any of the products that I mentioned? Do you love them? Do you hate them? Let me know in the comments!
